On July 24, there was UHPLC-DAD (Ultimate 3000 Thermo Scientific) training equipment in laboratory 319A of the Department of Chemistry of the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia. The training focused on the basic concepts inherent at liquid chromatography with a Diode-Array detector (DAD), and the manipulation of the workstation, through the software Xcalibur®, with which an analysis methodology was created.
Such equipmente allows to separate, detect and quantify the compounds of the various samples (macroalgae) - these results will allow to realize, for example, a task inserted in the project, in particular, the monitoring of the physical and chemical characteristics in macroalgae and food products based on macroalgae.
