On October 9, there was another field trip, this time at Praia do Magoito, in Sintra. There several taxa were harvested, of which the crop of threads (Nemalion elminthoides). This seaweed is used in Japan and Italy, both raw and cooked. Its intense iodine flavor resembles some mollusks. It has potential in the most varied culinary applications: as vegetable spaghetti, due to its shape (see figure below), salads, pasta filling, pies, pizzas, among many others, just to give your imagination.
