The Alga4Food Project was featured in the Spanish daily newspaper El País on April 26, 2019. In the reportage, by journalist Javier Martín del Barrio, Professor Paulina Mata, coordinator of the Master Degree in Gastronomic Sciences of FCT NOVA and member of the Alga4Food Project, said: « Alga4Food is a program to change eating habits. This project is not a project for the industry, but to promote the use of macroalgae in the family cooking».
Professor João Noronha, PI of the Project, says that «agriculture cannot feed 7 billion people and fish resources are running out, and there are already many endangered species. The future of humanity diet involves the use of seaweeds».
